Job Description:

As a Sales Engineer reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will support the sales team to drive business growth. The goal is to move prospects through the buying stages/gates with greater speed and success rate. Role will bring the outside-in, and help us take our solution story out to the market. By understanding customer needs, technical ecosystems, market forces, and by providing technical information about our solutions and their deployment with health systems for a customer’s win. The role helps determine the value of our solutions to the prospect/client and effectively articulates the value of our solutions.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Understanding customer needs, market dynamics and aligning solution offerings with their requirements.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to customers throughout the customer buying process, on the financial, patient experience and clinical benefits.
  • Managing the key task of ROI analysis and presentation (data file request with prospects, analysis and creation of low-high projection scenarios, supported with implementation requirements).
  • Support identifying qualified sales opportunities and offering.
  • Provide design input to solution demonstrations, and able to deliver compelling presentations to showcase the value of our solutions, contrast to any defined competitors.
  • Developing and supporting prospect relationships through the buying process, and transferring client knowledge to our implementation team.
  • Contributing to sales strategies, pricing decisions and contract negotiations based on technical considerations.

Your Tasks:

  • Understand our solutions’ technical features, functionalities and benefits.
  • Study customer needs, pain points and provider business challenges, to support creating a customized sales proposal with the sales team.
  • Support profiling prospects for planning and downstream implementation tasks.
  • Point-person to support Curae presentations to prospect operations staff on operational processes, implementations, their EHR/vendor ecosystem.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase key features and functionalities and address technical questions and concerns from customers.
  • Provide pre-sales support by answering technical inquiries and participating in sales meetings.
  • Liaise with the engineering or technical team to address technical concerns or requirements; liaise with regulatory staff on PHI data surveys/vendor certification surveys.
  • Own and maintain competitor knowledge library, and maintain battlecards are up-to-date.
  • Develop and deliver solution technical documentation, as a contributor to user manuals, technical specifications and solution training sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical requirements and ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Give active feedback and insights from the market to the solution development and marketing team.
  • Participate in sales meetings, trade shows and industry events to promote our services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics.

Required skills and qualifications

  • BA bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a sales engineer or in a similar technical sales role in US healthcare with healthsystems, in revenue cycle management.
  • Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in presenting technical solutions to customers, providing expert advice and troubleshooting customer queries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge of EHRs and patient interfaces and UI/UX; patient payment programs, clearing houses, patient statement processors.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales management tools (Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Experience creating technical content, such as white papers.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing.
  • Strong capability using ppt, word, excel, AI tools.
