Role Summary
As a Database Architect, you will design, develop, and optimize Curae’s database systems to support our healthcare finance solutions. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive data integrity, scalability, and performance. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in database architecture who thrives in a collaborative environment. Knowledge of C# is a significant advantage for integration and development tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Design & Development: Architect and maintain schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures to support both application functionality and analytics.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune database performance—query optimization, indexing strategies, and resource utilization—to meet SLAs.
- Systems Integration: Collaborate closely with software engineers (particularly in C#/.NET) to ensure seamless data access and integration.
- Data Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance measures to protect sensitive healthcare and financial data.
- Documentation & Standards: Produce and maintain detailed documentation of database designs, data flows, and operational procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Research and recommend emerging database technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance our data architecture.
Experience and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in database architecture, design, or administration.
- Deep proficiency with MSSQL and PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, partitioning).
- Strong grasp of data modeling, normalization, and relational design principles.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend) is a plus.
- Experience integrating with C#/.NET applications.
- Comfortable using version control (Git) and collaborative DevOps workflows.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with engineering, product, and operations teams.
