We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our growing team. This full-time, remote position will focus on driving new business within the Mountain/Western Region of the United States. The role will report directly to the Senior Vice President and National Sales Director.
Job Description:
The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for leading new business growth and strategic partnerships within the healthcare provider market. This includes identifying opportunities, developing business plans, negotiating contracts, and managing executive-level relationships. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations and proven success in selling or developing partnerships with hospitals and health systems.
The ideal candidate will have an established network of healthcare finance executives (particularly CFOs and Revenue Cycle leaders) and a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals through a consultative, strategic approach.
Objectives of the Role:
- Drive new business development within assigned healthcare markets across the Mountain/Western Region.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CFOs, VPs of Revenue Cycle, and other key decision-makers.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with Curae’s mission and growth goals.
- Lead contract negotiations, proposals, and business planning with prospective partners.
- Collaborate closely with the SVP and National Sales Director to ensure alignment of territory growth objectives.
- Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Key Tasks
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the healthcare provider and revenue cycle space.
- Develop customized proposals and presentations for prospective health system partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of pipeline activity, forecasts, and outcomes in CRM.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and associations to expand Curae’s market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support implementation and ensure a seamless client transition post-sale.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient access, or financial services business development.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals within hospital or health system markets.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare financial operations and revenue cycle processes.
- Established network of healthcare finance leaders, particularly CFO and Revenue Cycle contacts.
- Excellent contract negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling or developing partnerships in healthcare finance, RCM, or technology-enabled solutions.
- Understanding of provider operations, patient affordability programs, and health system reimbursement models.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for sales tracking and forecasting.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Based in the Mountain/Western U.S. region.
