Overview
Curae Finance, LLC is the national leader in non-recourse healthcare financing for consumers, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We exist to fix what’s broken in the healthcare revenue cycle by enabling providers to offer compassionate, patient-first financing without increasing operational burden. To date, we’ve delivered over $100MM in funding to providers nationwide, and we continue to scale rapidly as provider demand grows. Our parent company was recently named the fastest-growing company in the U.S. by Fortune Magazine.
Role Summary
As a Data Implementation Manager, you will own the end-to-end onboarding and data integration experience for Curae’s healthcare clients. This role sits at the intersection of client engagement, healthcare data, and technical execution. You will guide providers through data specifications, explain why specific data elements matter from a business and revenue-cycle perspective, validate incoming data for completeness and accuracy, and ensure secure, reliable data transmission into Curae’s platform.
This is a client-facing role, but not a surface-level one. You’ll need the technical skill set to work directly with healthcare data, troubleshoot integrations, and partner closely with engineering and analytics teams to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Client Data Implementation & Onboarding
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare clients during data onboarding and implementation.
- Lead clients through Curae’s data requirements, translating technical specifications into clear business-level explanations tied to outcomes like funding eligibility, conversion, and reporting accuracy.
- Set expectations, timelines, and milestones for implementations and proactively manage progress.
Healthcare Data Validation & Quality Assurance
- Review inbound healthcare data files (e.g., patient balances, encounter data, payment activity) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work directly with client teams to remediate issues.
- Validate that data aligns with real-world revenue cycle workflows (self-pay balances, insurance transitions, adjustments, refunds, etc.).
Technical Integration & Secure Data Transfer
- Coordinate and support SFTP setup, credential exchange, and testing with client IT and vendor teams.
- Troubleshoot file delivery failures, formatting issues, and transmission errors.
- Partner with internal engineering teams to resolve ingestion or pipeline issues uncovered during implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Client Success teams to ensure implementations align with platform capabilities and downstream analytics needs.
- Provide feedback from implementations to improve data specifications, onboarding processes, and tooling.
- Act as the voice of the client when data realities conflict with theoretical models.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain clear documentation of client-specific data mappings, assumptions, and known limitations.
- Identify recurring implementation challenges and recommend process or tooling improvements to reduce friction and time-to-value.
- Help standardize best practices for healthcare data onboarding as Curae scales.
Experience and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare data implementations, revenue cycle analytics, healthcare SaaS onboarding, or data integration roles.
- Hands-on experience working with provider data such as patient balances, encounters, claims-related extracts, or financial transactions is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills and comfort validating large datasets for accuracy and completeness.
- Experience working with flat files (CSV, TXT), data schemas, and file-based integrations.
- Familiarity with SFTP setup, secure data transfer protocols, and troubleshooting delivery issues.
- Comfort working alongside engineering teams on ingestion or pipeline-related issues (you don’t need to build pipelines, but you need to understand them).
Healthcare & Business Acumen
- Solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle concepts, especially self-pay workflows.
- Ability to explain technical data requirements in plain language to non-technical healthcare stakeholders.
- Strong grasp of how data quality directly impacts financial outcomes and client trust.
Communication & Execution
- Confident, professional client-facing communication — written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple implementations simultaneously.
- Direct, pragmatic, and comfortable pushing back when data quality or process shortcuts create downstream risk.
Why This Role Matters
This role directly impacts client trust, platform reliability, and revenue outcomes. Poor data implementations kill momentum. Clean, well-explained, well-validated data integrations unlock scale. You’ll be the difference between “the data technically loaded” and “this actually works for our business.”
